Classical scholarship and the modern libraryI have a bachelor's degree in Classical Studies and a Ph.D in Roman History from Columbia University. My special areas are the ancient Roman army, women in Roman law and society, and the intersection of these areas -- the families of Roman soldiers in law and society. I have just published a new book, Daily Life of Women in Ancient Rome (Greenwood, 2022), due out in March 2022.
I also have a Master's in Library Science. I am currently employed as the librarian at the Foundation Schools, an independent nonprofit school with three campuses in the greater Washington, DC area. |
